1988bo is more than just a betting platform — we are a community of Malaysian players who share a passion for sports, casino, and fair, secure digital entertainment. From Liga Super football to live baccarat and BWF badminton, it's all in one platform built and optimised for local players.
Who We Are
1988bo started from a simple observation: Malaysian players who enjoy betting and casino games had no platform truly built for them. Existing international platforms often overlooked local needs — charges in foreign currencies, unfamiliar deposit methods, interfaces in unfriendly languages, and customer support with no understanding of the Malaysian context. We decided to change all of that.
Launched with one clear vision — to bring a world-class betting and casino experience to Malaysian players in their own language, in Malaysian Ringgit (RM), and with the payment methods they use every day — 1988bo has grown into one of the most trusted platforms in Southeast Asia. The name "1988" carries real meaning — it marks the era when Malaysian badminton shone on the world stage, a symbol of pride and fighting spirit that we carry into every aspect of our platform.
What sets 1988bo from other platforms? It starts with how we see our players. You are not just a source of revenue — you are a community member who has trusted us with your time and money. We take that trust seriously. Every decision we make — from interface design and payment method options to betting market depth and withdrawal speed — is made with the best possible experience for Malaysian players in mind.
Platform 1988bo covers two main segments. First, Sports Betting — comprehensive coverage of football (Liga Super Malaysia, EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga), badminton (BWF, Malaysia Open, Thomas Cup, Uber Cup), basketball, tennis, and a wide range of local and international sports. Second, Live Casino — baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and other casino games with real human dealers in HD streaming, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
On the security front, 1988bo operates under a valid licence and complies with international regulatory requirements. All player data is protected with 256-bit SSL encryption — the same standard used by leading financial institutions. Financial transactions are processed through audited, secure payment channels. We never compromise on security — it is a non-negotiable foundation.
When it comes to payments, 1988bo supports all major payment methods used by Malaysians — DuitNow, FPX (Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, Bank Islam, and more), Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, and ShopeePay. Deposits are processed in under 5 minutes, and winnings withdrawn to a Malaysian bank account are typically settled within 30 minutes to one hour. We know your time is valuable, and we don't want you waiting to enjoy your own winnings.
Behind the technology and products we offer, there is one core value that has never changed since day one: 1988bo believe that entertainment should be responsible. We actively support responsible gaming — not just as a line in the terms and conditions, but through real tools like deposit limits, session limits, and self-exclusion options available directly in every player's account settings. Our goal is for you to enjoy the game, not to see our players in difficulty.
